Our Mission


Learning Together Equestrians is a nonprofit organization. The organization consists of a passionate group of members, instructors, and volunteers committed to providing therapeutic horseback riding (hippotherapy), and related educational programs, to children with developmental or physical disabilities. We are located in Austin, Texas and serve our surrounding community.

Penni Bozadzis
Managing Director & Lead Therapist


Penni graduated with honors completing a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the State University of New York at Geneseo. Her undergraduate work included a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, and an Associate degree in Sign Language Interpretation.

Penni’s experience in working with children and adults with special needs began over seventeen years ago. She has been riding and learning from horses for the past twenty-five years. In 2005, Penni founded Thoughtful House Equestrians (T.H.E.), and directed the program for four years. She actively seeks continuing education in the areas of communication, sensory and developmental disorders, rider biomechanics, and natural balance horsemanship.
